The Early Years Need You More Than Ever
Tax time is a powerful opportunity to make a real difference for families of young children with Down syndrome. Right now, the toddler years, one of the most critical stages in a child’s development, are also one of the most underfunded. Due to recent funding changes, this cohort is no longer receiving the same level of support as in the past, leaving many families without access to the early guidance they need.
Donations will directly fund
- Early intervention
-Family connection programs
-Flexible support services that help children build strong foundations in communication, learning, and independence.
Just as importantly, your support ensures families feel informed, confident, and connected during what can otherwise be an overwhelming and isolating time. It also helps us extend these vital services to regional and remote communities, so no family misses out because of where they live.
The Ripple Effect of Early Support
The impact of this support reaches far beyond the child, it strengthens entire families. Parents gain confidence, siblings feel supported, and families build lifelong connections with others who truly understand their journey.
“The support we received from Down Syndrome NSW in Coco’s early years shaped not only her development, but the strength and confidence of our entire family… they were our reassurance, our guidance, and a source of hope.” Ruth, Coco's Mum
“Down Syndrome NSW was a lifeline for our family in Teddy’s early years… that early support made a lasting difference to our whole family.” Louise, Teddy's Mum
With your help this tax time, we can continue to provide connection, education, and reassurance when it matters most, during a window of opportunity that shapes a child’s future and a family’s wellbeing for life.
