libraryDS NSW has a significant collection of resources relating to Down syndrome in the Julie Cromer Library Resource Centre. The collection holding approximately 2000 items; books, DVDs, journals, information kits and archival records and ephemera.

Access to information is vitally important to our community. In the early years of the Association there were few resources available about Down syndrome available for parents, doctors or therapists. Today the Julie Cromer Library Resource Centre acquires the most recent books and resources from Australia and internationally and is accessed constantly by members, students, researchers, teachers and health professionals.

Julie Cromer was the first librarian employed by DS NSW and she has been a tireless advocate for information sharing.  At the renaming of the library on World Down Syndrome Day in 2014 Julie said “The library collection continues to reflect the growing maturity of our community… a worthy collection for members and our people who happen to have Down syndrome.  The library collection confirms their status as valued members of society.”

The library has a searchable catalogue available online
